Editorial Boudoir | Passionate About Creating Art

Hey there Jarrett here back with another blog post and today I wanted to talk about this editorial shoot that I did in downtown Arbor. So… This year's been kind of weird with work, we're still booked but there's been a lot of time to think about the next steps in my career. I'll admit I've been a little bit lazy not pushing myself to create new art, and just kind of stuck to what I already knew. So I was getting down on myself about how I haven't created any passion projects lately and… I thought about my other brand which focuses more on magazine editorial modeling photos, which made me decide to plan a shoot that would allow me to create without any expectations. Well, the photos came out fire! We went for a juxtaposition of business casual but made it sexy. I think we absolutely slayed the whole shoot. Sometimes I forget we as artists, or at least I need to create often. I think there is a lot of fragility in what we do and art helps us to express and overcome that. Our sense of self is very much tied into the art and when you monetize that, it takes away some of that creativity. Finding my roots has to be constant to keep up with the demand for creativity. Anyway, I feel like my blogs are always so ranty!
