Last week I decided to run a “model call” I was in search of someone who felt strong enough to share their “Why.” Strong… Because I knew it would be difficult to ask someone to dig deep down to share something that would truly inspire others and make an impact. I wanted to create a narrative of their story using boudoir as a catalyst. I wanted to reach those of you who might be struggling with body confidence or self-love, and create a safe space that allows you to take control of your journey to find confidence in the self that you are in this moment.
Read MoreI've decided to do more traveling this year and I figured I might as well shoot while I'm on my travels. I've been doing boudoir photography for so many years, sometimes I can't even remember when I started. Typically I shoot 90% of my sessions inside the studio. Every now and then I get the opportunity to shoot something outside and I'm always amazed at the images I can produce outdoors. So this year I want to make it to a point to shoot outside more!
Read MoreEarlier this year I started a project. It was meant to be an art series with various portraits influenced by different body parts. The images are arguably the most artistic photos I've ever taken and really focus on the details of the human body. I didn't really get the opportunity to share them in the way that I initially wanted to share them, so they haven't really made their debut yet. however, I wanted to share some of those images with you all in hopes that it would inspire you and potentially help you see the value in the art.
Read MoreI really didn’t know how to approach this blog topic, but we are just a few months into the new year and I have had a lot of client outreach about being a mom and doing a boudoir session. I even had a husband reach out on behalf of his wife to come in for a session after they had their first child. She has been struggling with who she is as an individual, separating mom life from sexuality. So I figure, this might be a good topic to chat about.
Read MoreThere’s this weird misconception that boudoir images can only be taken in lingerie. That only lingerie can be photographed in a sexy way and that you have to go out and spend a bunch of money on lingerie for your boudoir session.
I believe boudoir is an investment in yourself, it's a reflection of how you perceive your own value. We have a hard time investing in things that we don't think we deserve or that we think we won't fall in love with. I've never watched the show, but I think Marie Kondo put it best, does it bring you joy? I think celebrating your accomplishments and your journey through life with the body you were given should spark joy. Capturing the essence of all that you have been and have yet to become feels like a great thing to celebrate.
Read MoreI truly feel this way, because I am able to create a safe space for so many people, a space to be vulnerable and authentically you. Although boudoir is all about stepping outside of your comfort zone, it’s also about feeling comfortable enough to be able to obtain that feeling of empowerment.

Read MoreEarlier this year I had put on a “model call” in search of anyone who might be interested in helping me create the 2023 boudoir commercial. I did something similar back in 2021 and the results were amazing! So I thought to myself “Why not make another commercial this year?”

Read MoreEmbrace your SEXUALITY, don’t minimize and hide it because society has taught you its unacceptable to feel or be sexy. There is power in sex confidence, its natural. What crazy is it’s not even all about sex, its about feeling comfortable in our own skin and expressing ourselves.
Don’t let others devalue or take away what makes you feel strong… What makes you feel, YOU!
Read MoreYour photographers experience in this niche style of shooting (boudoir) is a lot more important than you might think. Not only are no two boudoir sessions or photographers alike, but the culmination of ones experience with lighting and posing can greatly affect the outcome of a session. “When I started boudoir, I had been photographing weddings for about 8 years, and let me tell you… I was in over my head thinking I could just pick this up.”
Read MoreVolpe E L Luna is a brand I started to fill my “artistic” void in photography. Majority of my work with alice heart photography & becoming fire boudoir is client facing. Although a lot of my clients give me “free reign” to create, they are still expecting a specific product return, which ads an amount of rigidity to the work. With this new brand I am able to create art and work on projects I would otherwise not be able to do.
